I have degrees in engineering sciences, law, and biblical studies. I was fortunate to make a living while my attention was focused on numerous other non-remunerative intellectual pursuits, and I am now enjoying retirement.
Ann is an inspiration to me with her emphasis on gratitude. What I really believe in my heart is key to my quality of life, to change, and to healing. We are not saddled with our ideas, beliefs and perspectives; we can choose how to look at the world. We can choose the thoughts we entertain. Buddhism and Christianity have taught this for millenia.
My spiritual path is within the Christian tradition, and I continually reinforce in my mind the truths that I genuinely believe. God has adopted me, God is my parent, I am loved with a perfect love. I am greatly blessed. I have everything I need in life and a flood of additional blessings. God is with me and helps me as I deal with life’s challenges. My tender areas of emotional pain, psychological vulnerability, and counterproductive behavior habits are all improving as the sense of being loved and the sense of being blessed permeate my innermost self.
So look around at the beautiful sky, the trees, the landscape, at friends and family, at all the providence and provision in your life, at exciting things to do and even challenges.Be grateful. Bless others. Dance.
