“Appreciation is the magic formula you’ve been seeking.”
A regular Gratitude Practice is an easily accessible path to appreciation states. In a state of appreciation we feel certain body and mind sensations as well as Joy and abundance all around. Good things happen when we feel more appreciation–including meeting the people we are meant to meet and finding the places we are meant to find in the right timing; and so many other types of abundance.
A great way to begin a gratitude practice is to find something we are truly grateful for and stay with the sensations that come up when we think about that thing, before moving on. Usually being in Nature, intimate moments with others and random acts of kindness are great opportunities to stop, feel and receive the Gratitude blessings. The feelings and the sensations in the body are so good; calming the nervous system and will likely produce yummy endorphins. Receiving and sensing gratitude blessings, helps us increase our awareness of the many blessings everywhere and our receptivity.
Magic Formula Exercises:
Want to go deeper and cultivate even more appreciation in your life? Here are 7 ways to enjoy the magic formula this New Year!
1)Take a Receive Break. When you become aware of a blessing, loving text, or a gift from Nature, find a comfortable position, relax, receive and sense the benefits. Allow yourself to think about all that you enjoy about this gift to further deepen your Gratitude sensations.
2)Find something new and true to be grateful about everyday for a week or two or longer. Ask where you feel it in your body. Be sure to take the time to feel the sensations.
3)Notice a recurring situation or thing that you would like to be different. Be curious to find one thing to be grateful about it that feels true, even if it is very small. Give what you find enough attention until you notice some good feelings and enjoy them long enough to register them.
4)Find something to love about your body everyday. Mix it up so you get to know its wonders.
5)Next time, in a state of appreciation, notice what led up to it. Do more of that:)
6)Be your own Good News Channel. Vigilantly look for what’s going right in the world and share it with others.
7)Lookout for something you do, say or handle a little better than before. Acknowledge it to yourself and be with it for at least a minute or longer.
Wishing Every Body an Abundant, Joyful, and Healthy Year!
